Even Joy Can Be Too Much

On the days when even good things stretch a tired nervous system too far

Overload doesn’t always come from something painful. Sometimes it comes from beautiful days, shifting plans, and too many yeses stacked on top of each other. My nervous system doesn’t care about intentions. It cares about capacity. And when I’m out of it, the only thing that works is stopping. Not hustling. Not proving. Just stopping.
