Supporting the Chad O Foundation — Supporting Veterans, Families, and the Reality of PTSD

Healing through connection, community, and shared understanding

Connection has always been one of the most natural ways humans heal — with themselves, with others, and within the spaces they call home.

That’s exactly what the Chad O Foundation has created through their work supporting veterans and families navigating PTSD — building community around the reality of invisible injuries and the importance of not facing them alone.

What the Chad O Foundation Is

The Chad O Foundation is not just an organization. It’s a community built on understanding, awareness, and connection.

Founded in honor of CPL Chad Oligschlaeger, the foundation focuses on supporting veterans and their families through the challenges of PTSD — not just by offering resources, but by creating spaces where people can show up as they are.

Their work brings together individuals from all walks of life — veterans, caregivers, families, and supporters — to experience what happens when people are met with compassion instead of expectation.

Their events and outreach create opportunities for:

Community gatherings that foster connection and understanding

Shared spaces where veterans and families feel seen and supported

Awareness and advocacy around PTSD and invisible injuries

Moments of real conversation, where people don’t have to explain everything to be understood

It’s community as support.

Not about fixing — about showing up.

Why This Speaks to Us

Our Thoughtful Heroes branch was built around the same belief: that healing doesn’t happen in isolation, and regulation begins within relationships.

As a veteran family living with PTSD, chronic pain, PMDD, and sensory needs, we’ve experienced firsthand how trauma moves through a home — and how connection, humor, and shared moments can begin to bring people back together.

That’s why the Chad O Foundation resonates so deeply.

Their work reflects something we believe at the core of Thoughtfultini™: No one heals alone.

It’s not just a message. It’s a reality we’ve lived — and one we see reflected in the spaces they create.

About the Chad O Foundation

The Chad O Foundation is dedicated to supporting veterans and families affected by PTSD through awareness, resources, and community-driven events.

Their annual PTSD Awareness Fundraiser brings together veterans, caregivers, families, and supporters in a shared space where healing is not expected to look a certain way — just to be real, supported, and understood.

Through their work, they continue to remind people that while trauma may be carried individually, healing is often built collectively.

Stand With Them

We’re honored to highlight the Chad O Foundation as part of our growing Thoughtful Heroes branch — and we hope you’ll stand with them (and with the families they support).

We’ll be at the April 19 fundraiser in Texas with a Thoughtfultini tent, serving food, creating space for connection, and sharing small moments that reflect what this work is all about.

Our “No One Heals Alone” shirts will also be available — not just at the event, but year-round — with a portion of proceeds supporting the Chad O Foundation and their mission to serve veterans and families navigating PTSD.

If you are part of an organization, community, or initiative supporting veterans, families, or trauma recovery, we would love to connect with you.

This branch is just beginning to grow, and the Chad O Foundation is showing what it looks like to build healing through community — one connection at a time.
